Krajina Association of Musicians - KUM

The Krajina Association of Musicians (K. U. M.) is an association of citizens and lovers of music. It was founded on May 19, 2007 in Negotin, and is registered with the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government. The Association has a presidency, parliament, and supervisory board.

The main objective of the Association is to encourage and enable the development of a sense of music among its members. It is a non-profit association.

The Krajina Association of Musicians (K. U. M.) is an organization that encourages its members to develop creative and performance skills, complements and extends their knowledge of musical art, and directly participates in creating conditions for the obtainment of work through the development of its members.

The goals and objectives of the Association are to:

1. Thoroughly and consistently develop the cultural life—especially musical—and the creative skills and personalities of its members.
2. Plead for the active presence of its members in the jurisdictions of government in which financing of programs and cultural activities are decided.
3. Direct moral and artistic standards and contribute to maintaining the sense of music of its members by helping them to develop their own ability to accept cultural and musical values.
4. Address the musical needs of its members and the environment in which they live and work.
5. Develop the broadest connectivity between the social engagement of the association and the interest of its members.
6. Advocate for such an education program that will enable the implementation of the principle that music education begins as early as preschool age and continues
throughout the entire education and work continuum.
7. Contribute to the development of cultural and musical creativity, the democratization of cultural policy, and a more complete use of achievements in the music industry.
8. Develop cooperation with other social organizations and associations of citizens and plead for the broader involvement of its members in social streaming.
9. Organize concerts, events, meetings, competitions, festivals, and other cultural and musical events.
10. Organize and support action in the area of musical culture and musical art, and its dissemination.
11. Establish social circles, clubs, societies, and music groups with the aim of actively engaging and encouraging the artistic predisposition of their members, within the widest circle of cooperation with K.U.M.
12. Support the mutual exchange of experiences among members of K.U.M.
13. Create and develop international cooperation.
14. Mediate in the procurement of tickets for cultural events for its members.
15. The Association may perform certain activities, without registration, that may be repeated on a smaller scale, such as its own audio and video production.
16. Organize musical cooperation with similar organizations, institutions, and associations of individuals in the country and in the world.
17. To achieve its goals and program activities, the Association can organize research, educational information, and marketing activities.
18. To achieve its objectives, the Association can organize advertising and marketing.

Every citizen can become a member of K. U. M.

The membership is obtained directly from the Association or via the Internet.

Once membership fees are paid, the membership is confirmed through the receipt of a membership card.
